Engineering Geotechnical Survey

Engineering geotechnical survey is a type of work aimed to study soils and soil masses characteristics used as ground structures, protection environment for installation of underground structures, as well as for estimation of sustainability of natural and anthropogenic soil masses, slopes and slants.

Engineering geotechnical survey has been introduced as an independent type in Russia quite recently. The Russian Federation Regulation No.20 dated 19.01.2006 “About Engineering Survey for Preparation of Design Documentation, Construction and Reconstruction of Capital Construction Projects”, where as part of engineering survey a new kind engineering geotechnical survey was issued in 2006.
